Story through movement, song, and a whole lot of CIRCUS!!!

Welcome to the Solstice Circus School - where we will transport you all the way to Hopitutskwa by stilts, spinning silks, hunter’s dances, and more!

Camp Magic weeks are always based on a story, and then we work with that story through all that we do. In other words - we don’t just teach your children how to walk on stilts. We take their discoveries and accomplishments, and utilize them in a performance that relates to the story and its theme.

From stories, we find our way into all kinds of amazing discoveries.

Solstice Circus School is no different. Our whole week will be based on a Hopi Story from the southern U.S.  We will look at the natural landscape of the area, the animals, the local lore, and more. From that place, we jump into painting and moving and integrating song and performance - so that our camp community can deepen its learning, and connection to each other.

Register today! Spaces are limited, and this is the perfect space to unwind from the school term, and get ready for the holiday season with new friends and fantastic facilitators - who make learning so much fun.

Get ready to howl with the coyote this December as we Celebrate Solstice!

DID YOU KNOW - That Solstice is celebrated by many cultures across the world?  Traditionally in Hong Kong  winter solstice marks a special time to come together with family as the nights grow long and cool. This is called zou dung - and usually involves a delicious feast followed by glutinous rice balls for dessert.

But how is it celebrated in other communities? And why was the Solstice such an important way to mark the year for so many people? This is just one of the many things children will be learning about this December.  We can’t wait to share more with you soon.
